Nowadays, ZIP archives are a great way of transferring data over the Internet and also for backup. The interface has a graphical aspect and allows any user to quickly find the option he is looking for. Making an archive requires first creating the actual file and then adding the desired files and folders to it. The number of archive formats supported by Alpha ZIP is quite impressive and exceeds the ones supported by other similar programs. Alpha ZIP can be set to automatically open archive files when they are double clicked.

Cons:
It doesn't include any settings for configuring the process of creating archives, like the compression level.

Alpha ZIP is the only ZIP manager you will ever need for creating and opening almost any type of archive format.
